Water Rate Increase– Council signed a new potable water supply agreement with SaskWater.  SaskWater has changed their method of charging for treated water, which has a direct impact on how the Village bills those connected to our utility system. There will now be a fixed rate component that will be charged to everyone 12 months of the year.  The other component is a variable rate based on the volume of water used.  The water infrastructure fee has been increased from $7.50/month to $10/month.  There is no change to the sewer infrastructure fees.

Effective April 1, 2018 the rates will be:

Fixed water rate: $21.25 per month

Variable water rate: $5.28 per 1,000 gallons

Effective April 1, 2019 the rates will be:

Fixed water rate: $24.92 per month

Variable water rate: $6.21 per 1,000 gallons

FYI: $15.08/1,000 gallons is our water usage rate up to March 31, 2018 (this billing period).

If you have questions regarding the new rate structure, or are curious as to how this will impact you, please feel free to call the Village Office.
